leaves flaunt
their life
under the sun
that strokes
purple blossoms
into summer
as unseen roots
burrow their way down
in an effort to quench their thirst
good soil makes all the difference
when it comes to growth
like a mind feasting on truth
will transform a life
where there is health
an entire field will flaunt it’s clothing
like a model circling a runway
under a rumbling sky
that loves a mad display
of flowers
serenaded by rain
pounding against the earth
as fertilizer spikes
are pounded in
as a lesson that can only be learned
through pain
this is the picture scratched into the dirty soil
where beauty is born
