Love vs Pride

True love begins with truth…for only in an environment of truth can trust grow..and trust is the foundation of any healthy relationship. Meanwhile, pride will congratulate itself for its knowledge of the truth even as it refuses to allow itself to be changed by it. True love realizes the eternal value in another soul and so, driven by a divine passion, will reach out beyond its comfort zone to grasp the dirty hand of the less fortunate brother. Meanwhile, pride is content to stay comfortable within its own clique and consider itself fortunate not to have fallen into such filthy squalor. True love is driven to fulfill the needs of of another and so often goes unnoticed by the world but somehow, still does a world of good. Meanwhile, pride is focused on doing what it takes to make itself look good to the world…without actually doing anyone in the world much good at all.
